Definition Post - Evidence

Dictionary definition of Evidence - The available body of facts or information indicating whether a belief or proposition is true or valid.

How Evidence could be described:
Sign
Information
Indication
Clue
Confirmation
Data
Fact

This is a piece of photography of a broken glass; it displays three sections of the glass and how they have broken an on the right there are many broken segments of glass. This therefore indicates Evidence of damage as something must of harmed the object to result in this outcome.

This photographs indicates Evidence in a different perspective. It conveys Evidence of rain. The camera is focussed on the foreground where there is a glass window. On the window many droplets and streaks of water are visible. Also it could be considered that in the blurred background the ground looks seemingly shiny and reflective which could imply puddles. This therefore leads to the conclusion that it has been raining in order to form the water droplets, streaks etc.

This photo is of a narrow street/alley where extremely bold and bright colours illustrate graffiti on the walls either side of the alley. Due to the recognition of the graffiti, this photograph demonstrates evidence of vandalism. This is because someone had to spray paint on a building which is illegal and therefore regarded as vandalism.

This final photograph is of a metal circle with some rope tied round it. This piece is very effective in showing Evidence of weathering. This is due to the recognition of rust on the metal which implies its physical deterioration, caused by the weather, through a change of colour and slightly in shape. Therefore demonstrating that weathering has taken place.

My own definition - Evidence - The indication that something has taken place due to previous actions/events
